A local Girl Scout from Troop 5781, Kiley Lu (17), had an excellent idea for her Gold Award project. The Gold Award is the top honor in Girl Scouts. She created a children’s guide to La Canada Flintridge Trails. Its purpose is to encourage local youths to get outdoors and experience what a beautiful area we live in.
The booklet contains information about trail etiquette, safety, and local wildlife. It even includes an individual scavenger hunt of various plants and animals found along the La Canada trails as well as coloring pages at the end.
Kiley’s will be to visiting local 4th Grade classes discussing our trails and local exploration opportunities while leaving behind this booklet as a guide. The La Canada Flintridge Trails Council has been give a copy that you can download and print. Have fun!
